Church Tyler is not the type to look in the mirror- ever. And you can usually tell from his disheveled hair. Naturally it’s a dark brown but if you compared some of Lazlo’s old photos with current ones you would see a slight shade change, the effect of trying to dye his own hair with calligraphy ink. Mr. Tyler towers above most of the planet at a shaky 6’2”. He has a slightly tanned complexion that’s clear of everything save a little scar through his eyebrow. Church has ever changing eyes. They look dark brown or black in low lighting, but always shine an emerald in bright daylight. His face is angular, and always slender like the rest of him. Church’s features range from dashing to ordinary; ordinary being his plain lips, which happen to be excellent at kissing.

Saying that Church has a fetish for bow ties would be an understatement. Rumor has it, he has a whole walk in closet stuffed to the max with every kind of bow tie you could ever imagine. But usually Church wears a plain maroon one with little pieces from suits. Blazers, trousers, and suspenders, are all common for him to be spotted in no matter the season. But often when the weather goes downhill, Lazlo slips on a black trench and leaves it at that. For formal events like premiers and award shows Church has been known to go all out in mock tuxedos. Gossip bloggers have had a thing to say about Lazlo’s feet- his destructed Converse and demolished Oxfords are a famous conversation starter. The always polished and ever sexy, director of legends, and flirt extraordinaire- who could afford anything, chooses to spend his days in tennies from eighth grade.

The word quirky doesn’t even begin to cover Church. If you were on set with him for one hour, you would tell people to lock him up, put him into a straight jacket. He’s very everywhere- but not scattered, Lazlo always knows what he’s doing. Church’s tongue is sharp and the best advice to give someone is to stay far away from it. Lazlo- as his friends know him- has been known to be a bit cocky, arrogant, and sometimes self righteous. He’ll do whatever- meaning whatever- it takes to get something he believes in completed, and you’d be surprised how much he fights when he’s on set. Sometimes people are put off by Church, therefore, aside from his none too trusting demeanor, people steer clear and friends aren’t too common. However if you are on good graces with Lazlo, you get benefits, he can be really entertaining- like when he unconsciously lapses into a British accent. Love is a foreign word to Church, who has never said it to anybody, and life is too short to spend it on romance. He would much rather flirt.

Church was born in some rural area near Ontario, Canada to two good people. His mother- Nora Tyler- was normal church going woman, who was sweet and collected while she took care of house work and a social life. The father- Christopher Tyler- was an American artist who was a bit overwhelming and scatterbrained, and had trouble keeping it together. When Church was six, the couple had a daughter named Vivienne Daphne Tyler who was a bit of a thinker, but was easily molded into Nora’s little perfect religious robot. Lots of family troubles split the two up, each taking a child. Christopher ended up with his own suicide seven years prior, and the last Church had heard was that his mother was in Alaska with Sarah Palin and God. Vivienne however never communicated, and as of her thirteenth birthday she was at a convent. Rumor had reached Church’s ears that his kid sister was in Southern California, but he nixed the idea of rekindling straight away.

As a child his super religious mother would pull the family in for worship as much as possible. Church and his father both hated it with a passion, but Nora convinced little Viv of so many untruths- lies about why she should love god. The couple split right after Church turned thirteen. His father moved him to New York City, and into a Brooklyn flat. The city vibe was crazy compared to Church’s country side home- but it didn’t take long for the dashing young gentleman to love NY the way his mother loved Jesus. Ever since he was little he had had a love of the theatre, and continued acting up a storm on NYC’s stages. Church never achieved Broadway standards, but you can bet he would have if directing hadn’t come along. For years Lazlo had loved classical movies- especially Spielberg’s- and when the opportunity came along to direct Hamlet, a play he was familiar with- having been the title role multiple times, Church accepted. Bottom line was, he fell madly in love and then there was no stopping him. Critics loved his new approach to everything, and getting into NYU early was easy as pi. Film was Church’s approach, Theatre was his passion. At twenty-three he moved into a flat in Los Angeles and quickly got accustomed to the land. Ever since he has been untouchable on his road to success, but there has been a sort of empty gap in Church’s existence.
