kat stands at a short height of 5’2”. she’s petite, has small hands and feet, thin lips, and she is very light-skinned despite a (distant) latino heritage. kat has naturally curly dark brown hair and huge, ice blue eyes. she is very dainty and feminine, and her teeth are the perfect shade of white thanks to her parents, the dentists. she is also very slim; almost to the point of looking gaunt, but it’s usually rectified within a couple of days, and it never really diminishes her natural beauty.

kat loves dresses and skirts. every time she goes shopping she picks out a new one. during the summer, she is more often than not in a short, sleeveless dress with some small heels or a pair of converse. despite her wardrobe consisting of mostly dresses and skirts, her style feels very easy. she likes wearing headbands, as well, during all seasons. when it’s cold, however, her style drastically changes from dresses and skirts to long sleeved sweat shirts and jeans. she particularly likes wearing moccasins and boots when it’s cold, another difference between winter and summer. she also likes to wear scarves, so when it’s cold outside, it’s likely you’ll see her with a different one around her neck every day.

kat is a very fun girl who has a lot going for her. she’s charismatic, comical, awkward, and just downright loves to spend time with her friends. she sees the good in a lot of things, but isn’t naïve enough not to notice the bad; she knows that there’s a darkness to the world, which makes her a bit more of a realist than an optimist, but she tries not to let the world’s dark realism keep her from having the time of her life. she always tries to look at the positives, but she is easily overwhelmed, and sometimes she has to let it all out in the comfort of her own room with a bowl of ice cream in hand.

kat is pretty sensitive, which is a weakness, considering that she auditions for producers to try and make it in the big time, and more often than not is rejected, but even if she’s been knocked down, she knows she just has to get back up again. in a way, she’s very devoted to her career and dreams, but there are days and nights that she just wants to dance around her cheap apartment with a hairbrush microphone, singing at the top of her lungs to queen songs. she’s very silly, and anyone who knows her than promise you that you’ll never be bored around her.

kat comes from a family of dental workers; her mother, leanna, is a dentist, her father, roy, is an orthodontist, and her twenty-nine year old brother, harry, is an oral surgeon, which is why it sort of came as a shock to her family when they found out that she wanted to go to hollywood to pursue a career in singing. her parents, of course, weren’t keen on her going, as they knew that it was hard to make it in the big time in this world, but her brother stood by her decision and helped convince their parents to let her go. the three of them, however, stayed in the city of atlanta to continue dental work while kat began her new life on the other side of the country.

born in athens but raised in the city of atlanta, georgia, kat got the experience of being a city girl in the south. she went to a private school and got decent grades, dated a little, and had plenty of friends who shared her interest in the arts. she wasn’t reclusive at all, and rarely kept things to herself – of course, there is one thing that she doesn’t tell anyone. when kat was fourteen, she began to realize that something about her wasn’t normal. at first, she couldn’t put her finger on it, but as she continued to date boys, she realized that she didn’t get butterflies in her stomach; her lips didn’t tingle when she kissed them. she tried to make herself think of them as more than friends, but for some reason, she couldn’t get herself to look at them the same way everyone else could. that’s what she met valerie.

valerie was a sweet, forgiving, and loving girl who stood up for what she believed in; those traits were something kat admired in a person, and the two became fast friends. as a few months went by, kat began to realize that she was beginning to get butterflies in her stomach when valerie smiled at her, and when they hugged, kat never wanted to let go. scared of her own feelings, kat decided to distance herself from valerie, but that only made things worse – and the infatuation only increased after that to a full-blown crush. kat, however, continued to squash her feelings down, sending them back to the recesses of her mind in hopes that she could be normal again. of course, that didn’t work, and she ended up losing her best friend while trying to hide from her emotions.

after high school, kat decided to turn over a new leaf, and chose to pursue a career in music. she was then on her way to hollywood, hoping that she could make it big, forget about her terrible high school experiences, and maybe finally meet a man that she might want to marry.
